Interview Tips
Don’t slouch or get too comfortable. It may come across as arrogance – even if you’re not.
Research the company before attending an interview.
Make a thank you call or send a thank you email after the interview even if you don’t get the job.
Speak clearly and with confidence without being too cocky – no one likes a know-it-all.
Don’t lie – your interviewer can tell. Plus, they’ll be able to see it on your resume.
Dress to impress and dress appropriately for the position and company you’re interviewing at.
Always ask questions. Questions about the day-to-day requirements of the role, the company culture, staff and future expectations are a good place to start.
Don’t fidget. We all know nerves can be a big issue in interviews, but don’t let them take over.
Unless you’re very tactful, don’t ask about salary.
Watch out for waffling. Excessive talking and referring back to your resume may come across as desperate and just a bit too nervous.
